High Alumina Brick Tunnel Kiln Refractory Materials

With the production technique development of the steel industry and other industries, The quality and quantity of refractory materials, which are the foundation of high-temperature industrial production equipment, have significantly increased and developed.

Since the development of directly bonded bricks, ultra-high-temperature sintering kiln with a sintering temperature between 1750~1790℃ has been developed. As the production of dolomite brick adopts a special binder, during sintering, exhaust fume treatment measures should be taken to prevent environmental pollution. To meet the quality requirement, at different sintering temperature ranges, the temperature and atmosphere should be easy to control and homogeneous, with reasonable combustion and heating mechanisms.

High alumina brick manufacturers considering the users of refractory materials cover the steel industry, nonferrous metals industry, chemical industry, kiln industry, and so on, to adopt different applications, refractories with different performances and shapes such as silica refractory, clay refractory, high alumina refractory, magnesia refractory, chrome refractory, dolomite refractory and zircon refractory and so on should be adopted correspondingly.

The Working Environment of Tunnel Kiln

High alumina fire bricks manufacturers’ purpose of refractory material sintering is to obtain stable refractory products with certain mechanical strength. Because different kinds of high alumina bricks refractories have different characteristics during sintering, so it is necessary to get a preliminary understand of the corresponding sintering property.

How to Make Alumina Bricks

Under 200℃, the residual water is discharged from green bricks.

200~1200℃, kaolinite is dehydrated and decomposed, forms mullite and dissociative quartz.

Above 1200℃, corundum and dissociated SiO2 in the clinker react and form secondary mullite. The reaction begins at 1200℃, and becomes intense between 1300~1400℃. Liquid phase appears between 1000~1100℃, the quality raises with the increase of temperature, it is good for the re-crystallization of corundum and the growing of mullite crystal, green bricks are approaching to sintering.

The high alumina bricks’ sintering takes place at a high-temperature period, under the atmosphere of reductive flame, or nearly neutral weak oxidized flame, the temperature holding time is between 24~40h.
