What is the Acid Refractory?
Question:
What is acid refractory? Which refractory products are included in common acid refractories?
Answer:
Acidic refractory generally refers to a refractory material that contains a significant amount of silica.
Features: high free silica content (greater than 94%), is the most acidic refractory.
Commonly used acidic refractory products include quartz glass products, fused silica recombination products, silica bricks and amorphous silicon refractories, and semi-silicon refractories are also generally included.
Some of the clay refractories are also classified as semi-acidic or weakly acidic refractories.
Zircon refractories and silicon carbide refractories are referred to as special acid refractories.
