    Installation Methods of Refractory Ceramic Fiber Blanket

     

    There are three main installation and construction methods for refractory ceramic fiber blanket furnace lining: layer laying method, stacking method, and veneer method. The layer-laying method is simple and quick, but the lining is not resistant to airflow scouring. The stacking method can improve the resistance of the ceramic fiber lining to airflow scouring, but because the fiber direction of the stacking method lining is parallel to the heat flow direction, the thermal conductivity is 20% to 30% higher than that of the layered lining under the same conditions. This should be noted when designing the furnace lining. The veneer method is particularly suitable for the renovation project of strengthening the insulation of the existing kiln lining, which can effectively reduce the heat storage and heat dissipation losses of the kiln.
