Acid Resistant Castable Description

Acid-resistant castables, using special fine coke, primary quartz and some corundum as aggregate, acid-resistant cement and pure calcium aluminate cement as binder, and adding ultrafine powder and composite additives. It has the advantages of high temperature resistance, acid corrosion resistance and strong wear resistance.

The acid-resistant refractory castable has high fluidity and is suitable for cast-type amorphous refractories.

It is widely used in the working lining parts of acid-resistant chimneys, liquid sulfur pools and related similar thermal equipment widely used in the petrochemical industry.

Composition ratio of acid resistant refractory castable

The general composition ratio of the acid resistant refractory castable is:

Acid-resistant refractory aggregate 60%-70%,
Acid-resistant refractory castable powder 30%-40%,
The water glass solution is 13%-16% (density of 1.38-1.42 g/cm3).

When sodium fluorosilicate is used as a hardening agent, it is added in an amount of 10% to 12% by mass of the water glass solution.

Application of Acid Resistant Castable

• 1. It is widely used for linings of various furnaces and kilns, resistance high temperature corrosion.
• 2. It can be cast in lining of the body and also can be made into pre-cast products.
• 3. Acid Resistant Castable is widely applied in acid petrochemical plant and sulphuric acid plant, proof acid corrosion.
• 4. The application of acid-resistant castables is widely used in high temperature corrosion resistant industrial furnaces and acid corrosion resistant blast furnace chimneys in the metallurgical industry, petroleum industry, chemical industry, power industry, building materials and engineering industries.
