    Performance of Aluminum Carbon Bricks

     

    Aluminum oxide has a high ability to resist the effects of acid, alkaline slag, metal, and glass solutions. It can achieve good results when used in an oxidizing atmosphere or a reducing atmosphere at high temperatures. Carbon raw materials, especially graphite, have high thermal conductivity and low linear expansion coefficient and are non-wettable with slag and high-temperature molten liquid. Therefore, Rongsheng aluminum carbon bricks have the following properties:

    (1) Rongsheng aluminum carbon bricks have excellent slag resistance and thermal shock resistance. Compared with magnesium carbon refractories, aluminum carbon refractories have higher resistance to alkali (Na2O) erosion and TiO2 slag erosion.

    (2) Rongsheng fired aluminum carbon bricks have a dual bonding system, namely carbon bonding and ceramic bonding. because the additive silicon reacts with carbon at high temperatures to form silicon carbide. In the continuous casting process, they not only act as traditional refractory materials but also are functional structural materials.

     

    Rongsheng Aluminum Carbon Bricks Classification and Application

     

    According to their different production processes, aluminum carbon bricks can be divided into two categories: unfired aluminum carbon bricks and fired aluminum carbon bricks.

    Rongsheng unfired aluminum carbon bricks are carbon-bonded refractory materials, which have significantly better oxidation resistance than magnesia carbon bricks and excellent resistance to Na2O slag erosion. Therefore, they are widely used in molten iron pretreatment equipment such as blast furnaces and ladles. Rongsheng fired aluminum carbon bricks are ceramic-bonded refractory materials with high strength, good corrosion resistance, and thermal shock resistance. Therefore, they are widely used in sliding gate bricks (Slider Bricks) of sliding gate systems for continuous casting and three major parts of continuous casting, namely, long nozzle (Ladle shroud), sub-entry nozzle (Sub-entry nozzle), and monoblock stopper, etc.

    Rongsheng unfired aluminum carbon bricks, commonly used raw materials are corundum, mullite, I and II high-alumina bauxite clinker, flake graphite, SiC, Si powder, etc. Compared with fired aluminum carbon refractory materials, unfired aluminum carbon refractory materials have the following characteristics: no need for firing, oil immersion and dry distillation heat treatment, and a simple production process. However, compared with fired aluminum carbon slide plates, the strength is lower and the porosity is higher.

The immersion nozzle must be preheated before use, so no cracks will occur during use.     Aluminum Carbon Monoblock Stopper

    Aluminum-zirconium carbon brick refers to an aluminum-carbon refractory material with a certain amount of ZrO2 added to the component, which is a type of carbon composite refractory material.

    Rongsheng aluminum-zirconium carbon bricks, aluminum-zirconium carbon refractory material can meet the requirements of multi-furnace continuous casting in the continuous casting process, and solve the problem of aluminum-carbon refractory material with increased strength and decreased thermal shock resistance.
