Ladle Refining Furnace Graphite Electrode

Ladle refining furnace, referred as LF furnace. Graphite electrodes are also used in LF ladle refining furnaces.

The graphite electrode belongs to the core component of the function of the LF furnace. It converts electrical energy into heat energy to heat the molten steel. During the heating of the LF, the electrode itself is melted and oxidized, and the electrode is also subjected to thermal shock and will fall off, thereby increasing the carbon concentration of the molten steel.

Therefore, the quality and production process of the graphite electrode directly affects the antegrade and production cost of the LF furnace heating refining process.

The main consumption of graphite electrode in LF is electrode end face consumption, electrode side consumption, electrode break consumption, click stump consumption.
