There are two methods on the masonry of refractory bricks in the mold casting bottom plate.

(1) Dry laying method.

The brick interface does not smear the mud in the liquid steel pipe, reducing the water, which is very beneficial to the quality of the steel ingot. However, for the quality of brick use, the technical quality of the masonry operators is strict, and the operation must be careful.

(2) Wet masonry method.

The brick interface is smeared with refractory mud to prevent steel breakout from the seam.

During the operation, it is necessary to pay attention to the fact that the mud cannot run into the working surface of the liquid steel pipe, otherwise the inclusions in the steel ingot will increase.
