Classification of Silicon Carbide Bricks

- (2) Nitride-bonded silicon carbide bricks. The bonding phase is covalently bonded compounds such as Si3N4, Si2N2O, Sialon, etc.
- (3) Self-bonded silicon carbide bricks. Including β-SiC bonded SiC and recrystallized SiC.
- (4) Silicon-infiltrated reaction-sintered silicon carbide bricks. A SiC-based engineering ceramic material composed of SiC and free Si.
In addition, silicon carbide brick products with a SiC content of less than 50% are usually called semi-SiC products. Semi-SiC products include clinker SiC products, high-aluminum SiC products, zircon SiC products, mullite SiC products, and corundum SiC products.
